Invest in Artists.
Throughout the year, we are engaging with artists through studio visits and consultations all while also researching emerging artists throughout the African diaspora. Previous artists in residence have gone on to be represented by galleries and featured in solo and group shows in New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago.
Thanks to our generous donors and supporters we were able to offer our residency free of charge and provide a stipend for artists. At Mare, we pride ourselves on supporting the development of emerging artists.
Our mission is to connect and support artists of African descent. Your donations help us provide materials for the artists, space rentals, lodging and meals as well as general operating support. The work we do is only possible through you!
